SAN CARLOS, San Mateo County — November 4, 2026. San Carlos School District’s Measure K parcel tax is just above its required two-thirds approval threshold in initial election returns.
What the unofficial vote shows
The reported count shows 4,984 Yes votes (69.40%) versus 2,198 No (30.60%). The official county guide requires 66.67% Yes for this school district parcel tax.
What the measure would change
The approximately 2.73-percentage-point cushion over the threshold exists only in the early count; valid unprocessed ballots may move the percentage. This school tax concerns a separate district budget from San Carlos City Measure G’s transactions-and-use tax.
What is not yet decided
A tax proposal above the threshold during preliminary counting is not a certified passage.
Figures reflect the November 2026 election results listing published by NBC Bay Area, not a fresh verified November 5 count. As of 4 p.m. November 4, San Mateo County estimated 130,000 ballots remained unprocessed countywide. The county scheduled another results release before 4:30 p.m. November 5 and certification for December 3.
