SAN CARLOS, San Mateo County — November 4, 2026. San Carlos Measure G has an early majority in favor of a proposed local transactions-and-use tax.

Unofficial election results

The results page shows 4,267 Yes votes (54.94%) and 3,499 No votes (45.06%), a preliminary difference of 768 votes.

How to read the local vote

The tax measure is a separate ballot question from the San Carlos City Council’s three-seat election. A majority in a dated unofficial tally is not a certified passage, and residents should consult the ballot text for the proposed tax terms.

Outstanding ballots and next update

The figures come from the NBC Bay Area results page published November 3 and updated November 4; they are a dated early reporting snapshot, not newly confirmed November 5 figures. San Mateo County reported an estimated 130,000 unprocessed ballots as of 4 p.m. November 4 and scheduled its next update before 4:30 p.m. November 5. Mail, provisional and conditional ballots remain to be processed. Results will not be certified until December 3.
